The driver will pick you up from your riad or hotel in Marrakech. After a beautiful scenic hour-and-a-half-long drive from the city, you’ll arrive in Imi Oughlad to meet the team: mules and their handlers, plus your guide. The walk begins by heading tothe berber village of Tinzert. You will walk through a forest of juniper trees. This day is an easier for acclimating to the altitude. The night is spent in a Gite (guesthouse) with toilets, private bedrooms (minimal furnishing), and electricity. 4 hours walking.

After breakfast, head out from the village of Tinzert and cross the Tizi n Taghrekhort riverbed. From this basin, mountains surround and the view is breathtaking. The walk continues through a seriesof villages (Aitharb,Tizian, Tizi-zgaghen and Tahliouine). Overnight accomodations in a Gite in Ait Aissa, which affords a stunning view of the Azzaden Valley, also known as the Valley of Many Colors. 5 hours walking.
